Engineering and production of tools is done with know-how and state-of-the-art technology

Based on the part data or the process plan, our designers create the tool design taking the production equipment regulations and the customer’s specifications into account.

State-of-the-art CAD workstations in 3D (Catia V5 or Inventor V16) are used for this. Catia V4 or 2D systems are available for reworking older designs. Data exchange is done via Odette, FTP or IQWeb

Here, the layout of the tools is done taking the total number of pieces required, a minimum material consumption, and customer’s pressing periphery into account.

In order to reduce risks, critical forming operations or unpredictable sheet behaviour are eliminated to the greatest extent possible using progressive drawing and/or springback simulations.

In production, we use state-of-the-art CNC machines and methods in order to manufacture sophisticated work pieces cost-effectively. Even large work pieces up to 10 m x 3.2 m x 1.4 m are covered by our machine park. The complex die programs are generated, simulated and transmitted directly to the NC machines through CAD/CAM coupling on Tebis workstations.

Pre-assembly of the tools including assembly of the forming parts for concurrent mechanical machining is done in our spacious workshops using cranes with a load-bearing capacity of up to 20 tonnes.

After completion of the active parts processing, our qualified toolmakers carry out all of the work steps required for adjustment and final installation, right up to establishment of functionality as the basis for subsequent testing of the tools.

In order to meet our customers’ quality requirements, a modern CNC measuring machine for dimensions of up to 2000 x 1200 x 1000 mm is used. A CAQ workstation is used to program the measuring sequences and document the dimensional accuracy of the sheet metal parts.

In order to maintain and further develop the high level of our product quality and services, we rely on a continuous improvement process. Consistent quality management is a no-brainer for us.
