VFB - the flexible moving column machining centre for long part machining

The machining centres in the VFB range in a moving column design offer a large work both for machining longer parts and for multi-station or reciprocal machining of shorter work pieces. High work piece weights are feasible thanks to the table which is always fully supported. With configurations for 1-sided, 2-sided, 5-sided or even 5-axis machining, the possibilities for the user are endless.

For the various machining tasks, you can choose between the high-performance geared variants with SK 40 or SK 50 tool holders or a motor spindle variant with HSK tool holder.

The machines are equipped with a horizontal/vertical swivel head , a left/right swivel head or a traditional vertical head as required. (See VFB-R for a description on the heads)

Of course, all VFB machines can also be executed with a closed-top enclosure. The high machining capacity can thus be used at high speeds with no problem.

With an additional emulsion mist extraction system, the high-pressure injection of coolant through the tool can also be fully used in any situation.

An integrated, continuous rotary table also makes 5-sided machining operations, circular milling operations or - depending on the milling head variant - 5-axis operations possible.

In order to increase the degree of utilization through a runtime parallel set-up, the machine is available with a partition for reciprocal operation. One side can thus be set up while machining is taking place on the other side.
